I'm looking for recommendations to buy oranges and grapefruit. Hoping for a wider selection than what I see in Publix or Winn Dixie.

There is a fruit stand south of the Turnpike on 301 that has a pretty good selection and another one on 301 in Sumterville just south of the stop light.

I like to buy citrus at the farmers market in Brownwood on Saturday morning. I especially like the fruit from the stand across the street from World of Beer. I think it is Reed's Grove. They bring the varieties that are currently being harvested.

One thing I enjoyed about growing up in Florida; you never bought citrus, friends either begged you to take some of theirs, or you had trees of your own. My family lived in a nice old house in the middle of an orange grove when I was in high school, we just picked some walking home from the bus. I do miss that!
