Default Cheap Appliances in new homes

We have a 3 year old premier home in Pinellas and already we have replaced the refrigerator and now the elements in the oven flashed and burned out. So now we have to purchase a new stove. Our neighbors on our street are also is having problems with their appliances. Very disappointed.

The very reason, when designing our home we opted to have all the appliances deleted and provided all our own.

That was in 2004 and do not know if they still go through the design process for premiers and some designers anymore.

The problem with appliances are not the problem of the installer or seller, it is the problem of the manufacturer.

We've had the icemaker in our refrigerator replaced four times under warranty. Just a bad product and I presume the manufacturer is not willing to re-engineer the device until his inventory is used up. He is also hoping one will be installed that will last through the warranty's expiration before it too goes on the fritz.

Three years seems ridiculous to me.
I know things don't last like they used to but only 3 years?

We keep having ice maker problems.
One more time and we're buying anew one and NOT Whirlpool! Ours is 3 years old also. ☹️️

Builder grade. Common in new homes everywhere.
