Maybe someone out there my know while you can go to any of our grocery store and find many different cuts of package chicken. For some time now I can't find split chicken breast, all kinds of skinless chicken breast, but none with the bone and skin. I've asked the store, and they got no answer. You ask why I care, I have a couple of recipes that require split breast.

I think more important would be for someone to direct you to an eye exam as I see it all the time all over.

OP is asking for help and your best to offer they are too blind to navigate. Wouldn’t it be nicer to say where there are an abundance of splits, that you have found, instead of attacking the OP.

You must be special, that your feet don’t get wet when you walk on water.

I just use my reciprocating saw. And for the tuff ones my chain saw. Back in early 60s when I worked in grocery store all chickens came hole and butcher used meat band saw or meat clever to chop up at customer’s request. Guess who had to clean and sanitize equipment?

Most supermarkets still have real butchers and I know for sure Publix says to please ask them as they will split packages and do whatever you ask for. Save-A-Lot and Aldi definitely just bring it in from Frozen refrigerator trucks and put it on the shelves. I have never cut up a chicken myself but want to try it as I understand you can cut it in half and put it on the grill that way and it cooks faster.

Search YouTube for spatchcocked chicken. It's a little more than just cutting it in half but grills/smokes great. Aldi and Trader Joes and Publix (sometimes) and I am sure others sell already Spatchcocked chicken. Basically you have to remove the backbone.

We have been brainwashed to believe that skinless chicken is healthy. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Amazing how even a simple "chicken thread" here can turn ugly!
Thighs are my favorite part of a chicken. They are flavorful and slide right down. Frequently the breasts are so dry they stick in my throat. I have to eat chicken breast with mashed potatoes and gravy or in a sandwich with lots of mayonnaise to get it down.
In fact I paid .99 cents on pound on this Saturday for breasts and legs.it Seems everything in villages is over priced and scares especially homes.

Some people should learn not to be snarky as I see this all over. Was it really necessary drive to type this comment so you feel better? This person was asking a fair question good morning decent answers and all you do is harangue them
