Yes, the Chinese admitted it was their so called weather balloon. How could this so called weather balloon going over only states where we had security info, that would be some smart weather (spy) balloon. We should of shot down this weather balloon as soon as it got into U.S. air space. Really what do you think the Chinese, Russian or N. Korea would of done if it was our weather balloon, admire it. Also the the Cuban thing was almost wasn’t a World War because they thought we we were spying it because of the Cuban’s were bringing in Nuclear Missel’s Also because the president didn’t take out that weather balloon in the Pacific Ocean waited until it was off the coast of N. Carolina, & if it was a spy balloon they already had all the information they wanted. Bet we won’t tell us anymore about that balloon than we know now!

Omg, you cannot believe this. But then the proof will shortly be on all our doorsteps. I think sometimes because people are as old as dust, they don’t care what happens to the next generation or America.

It is amazing what you can order on the internet.

Shooting down a balloon at 60000 + feet is a lot harder than a layman would think. This article may help in an understanding of what seems like an easy task is not.

Why Shooting Down China’s Spy Balloon Over The U.S. Is More Complicated Than It Seems

Also not mentioned in this article is the fact at 60000 plus feet the air pressure inside the balloon is not much different than outside. Putting a bullet hole in it would be like letting the air out of a giant warehouse by opening a tiny window.

The prior administration would have called Beijing when it hit US airspace near Alaska to tell them to watch their monitors while he blew it out of the sky over the pacific. [/QUOTE]

Prior had 3 opportunities and just told everyone to look the other way.

"Have someone hang out the window and shoot one or two bullets"?!? Love it! Best laugh of the day! Thanks.

With all due respect, that is NOT what you claimed you were attempting to achieve… your explanation of the first post…

Your explanation:

“No - I am saying we should stand up and respect the fact that thousands of people employed by us over the last week independent of political affiliation gave 100% to protect us while we continued our life in the bubble as usual.. When do these people get who actually do the work and gather the intelligence get the credit ? I will say it again - who do you think is protecting your bank account 24/7 ? the last week independent of political affiliation gave 100% to protect us while we continued our life in the bubble as usual.. When do these people get who actually do the work and gather the intelligence get the credit ? I will say it again - who do you think is protecting your bank account 24/7 ?”

That doesn’t correlate with your initial statement, just for the record. But I do wonder lately who is protecting our bank accounts. :-)

I am capable of multitasking. For the record I trust science way more than I trust politics.
FYI your cut and paste of my post maybe slightly screwed up.

Yeah, I agree with you regarding trusting science vs politics.

So, it appears as though balloons did cross US airspace during the Trump administration, but the military did not detect them. They were discovered after Trump left office.
In their haste to say 'the other guy didnt shoot at them either', they neglected to say we actually didnt SEE them.

Pentagon Won't Explain Misleading Statements About Trump-Era Chinese Spy Balloons
