Default Christmas lights on golf cart

Is it legal to drive a golf cart with Christmas tree lights in The Villages?

I am not sure if it’s legal or not, but it would take a real nasty Christmas Scrooge to give someone a hard time for decorating their cart for the holidays. As long as the lights are not blinding to other drivers, I don’t see a problem. And if that is illegal, what about all the carts that are decked out for other holiday parades such as St. Patrick’s day, or for political rallies?

The only place it may not be legal would be on the street, but see above.

My guess if its not a street legal cart, what every floats your boat--motor vehicle rules don't apply to golf carts--they just have to have tail, turn & headlights if driven during hours of darkness--notice the blue & green LED side lights--usually the only vehicles with blue lights in Fl are police vehicles

I can hardly wait to see what we are going to WORRY about next! I hope it's the ability to decorate carts for Christmas..... but only if you pay a fee.

You are a good pilot. Nice job with the port and starboard navigation lights.

“Motor vehicle laws don’t apply to golf carts “ ????? You are sadly mistaken.

ALL motor vehicle laws apply to golf carts. As an example , get caught driving drunk on a golf cart and see what happens !!!

Winter Garden Christmas Golf Cart Parade 2019 at Bradford Park - Winter Garden, Winter Garden

Found this which would indicate that x-mas lights are OK on golf carts.

Remember, OP. This is a place for discussion, and not neccessarily a place to get answers. Especially if you are looking for legal answers.
