Default Christmas Tree Shops

One of our favorite places to go while living in New England was the various Christmas Tree Shops. So I was pleasantly surprised last week when my mother forwarded to me an announcement from Christmas Tree about the grand opening of their new store in Dallas Texas. That prompted me to check their web site to look for the possibility of other new stores. I remember in the last Villages residents survey Christmas Tree was mentioned as a favorite of residents wanting them to come here. But alas I did not see TV in their list of future stores but at least they are getting closer to FL. Soon to be opening are stores in Lancaster PA, Greensboro NC and Augusta GA. Really would love to see that company open a store in or near TV.

Default Don't you just love a bargain?

I second that! We have one 4 or 5 miles from us and go there regularly. My wife loves it for all the decorating items (glassware, lamps, ,knick-knacks, etc) and me for the food, tools and assorted manly things! Can't tell you how many things from there we brought down to furnish our new TV home. Now all we have to do is get down there full time to enjoy it. Like their ad says "don't you just love a bargain?"

Default christmas shops

aside from the lovely christmas store which i think is still in spanish springs, those who love christmas all year round would like to take a ride to brooksville, west on 44 to 41 and head south to Roger's Christmas, a collection of five or six cracker houses from around florida, each filled with decorations and pretty things, a nice display of Santas from around the world, as well as decorations for other holidays, as well....try googling for exact name and directions...a nice day trip.

Rogers Christmas shop shut down a couple of months ago. They had a big going out of business sale. It was even in the Daily Sun.

Christmas Tree Shops are not a "Christmas " store. Their logo is a Santa sleigh with a tree in it. Kind of hard to describe, maybe a "Tuesday Mornings" on steroids?

I, too, miss my Christmas Tree Shop......going to NY soon and will bring goodies back here. Perhaps an email blitz of the website might bring one here.

I also love the Christmas Tree Shops. We take the ferry over to Connecticut to shop there.

My friends and I who have Christmas Tree Shops close to us in NJ [and homes in TV] email their customer service and that of Bed, Bath and Beyond [since they are CTS' corp owner] requesting that they open a store in TV. Since BBB has distribution facilities for their area stores, there must be a way to expand that for a CTS store or two.

The other tactic we employ is to provide our Florida zip code when asked to provide same when shopping at other CTS stores. Knowing the location of their customers also helps them to pinpoint areas for future development.

In the mean time, when we are in Florida we often take a trip or two down to Orlando...and when we are there we stop in the Old Time Pottery store...it is similar to but not matching in merchandise to what is offered in CTS...http://www.oldtimepottery.com/

Every year we fill out a residents' survey here and we are asked what stores we'd like to see in the area. Christmas Tree Shop is ALWAYS on my list.... I've left lots of money at Bealls Outlet....I'm willing to do the same at Christmas Tree...

I thought there was a Christmas shop in SS down by Panaras. It used to be on Del Mar next to TooJays and moved for more space.

Whereas I am NOT fond of making the long drive from The Villages to Rhode Island to visit family, there is ONE big advantage in doing so. I get to fill the backseat of my car with goodies from Christmas Tree Shop. I can see it from my daughter's house in Warwick, RI and always make 2 or 3 trips to stock up on lamps, linens, dishes, flags, wreaths, glassware as well as seasonal decorations. I miss it BAD and wish one would open nearby.

they started originally on Cape Cod in a house (that location is now closed) as a seasonal tourist store, they expanded all over Cape and then into other areas of the country, there are still some smaller versions of them on the Cape but check the link, nice company to work for
