Default Close to CC and Adult Pool

If the Squares were not your cup of tea but you wanted to live close to a Country Club and adult pool, which Village/neighborhood would you buy in?

I live in Glenbrook which is close to Glenview CC and to the Saddlebrook pool.

Just about perfect here - if you ask me.

I am about a 12 minute cart ride to either Spanish Springs or Lake Sumter Landing.

I loved Hadley and I was steps from the family pool and a very short walk to the adult one. Almost every village has both. And since there are ten country clubs...that too. I am so happy with Laurel Valley because we can go to a lot of different places quite easily. The best place is the one you choose and it is hard to go wrong.

A good burger, pizza oven, happy hour and a Sunday brunch would be nice. What clubs have those?

The best country club pizza for me is Mallory. Can't vouch for the burgers. For me burgers are a hit or miss proposition. I like them medium. Sometimes they are sometimes they're well done. Don't know about brunch.

If I were to pick a place to live in TV, it would be Village of Sunset Point down near Heron and Pelican golf courses. Peaceful, beautiful, and convenient location..several nearby adult, family, and sports pool and close to Cane Garden CC.

L2rideHD will no doubt affirm this observation. :-)

Yes, Sunset Point is a great neighborhood to call home. Cane CC is good - excellent lunches and a great golf course. Heron and Pelican are beautiful courses even though Pelican is very difficult (for me).

I'm getting out the TV map to look up these areas. Exciting project for a cold Virginia night.

Default Belvedere area

If I had a place in The Villages I would want it to be near Belvedere & 466.
Central location and everything is just a short distance.

OK - I'll add Amelia to the list - around 8 minutes by cart to LSL or to Colony. About 5 minutes by cart to Havana or to Mallory. Beautiful pool. 2 minutes to Odell. And some nice elevation changes to add interest...

I like the mature landscaping and majestic trees of Piedmont, Chatham, Springdale villages.

They all look so good. Going to be a tough choice.

As I have stated many times before, look at the re-sale homes before you look at the new homes. Much better deal. The new homes you have to pay the asking price as in a re-sale, you negotiate with the seller. Bond is lower than in a new home and may be paid off. You do not have to pay extra for upgrades that may already be in place. Construction work is not going on around you. You get to see exactly what is around you instead of kind of guessing when you buy an empty lot and everything else is empty.

Use an agent from one of the MLS companies just outside The Villages AND an agent from Villages Properties. Neither can show each other's listings.
