Everybody has a viewpoint, so:
1. Definitely buy a map. Maybe two. TV is a very big place. I think it is 36 square miles and 57,000 homes, (approximately). Population is 115,00, (approximately) 2. For two day trip, I would drive my car as opposed to a golf cart to get around easier. For a week stay, I would ride around in a golf cart. 3. I agree that one should use to main roads. Morse and Buena Vista run north and south. 466, 466A, El Camino run east and west. 4. I would not spend several hours seeing a movie for a two day trip. TV is kept in immaculate condition so you will be amazed at how beautiful it is here! The old joke is to bring your checkbook as many people have bought a home in a very short period of time. Enjoy and don't get stressed out. Don't be surprised if you fall in love with TV. |

For wanting to spend half on a beautiful home and for wanting to spend half or less on cost of living and golf-recreation without country club dues, club spending requirements and assessments? For wanting to pay no state income tax? |
For the original poster, since you already live in Sarasota, which is one of my favorite places in the country:
Look at the lifestyle possibilities here in TV for instant, easy-going possibilities for socialization. That becomes very important as people get older and once a person retires. I see too many retired friends and acquaintances living a very isolated existence in other places, in condos or regular homes where they don't know even their next-door neighbors. Here, you walk outside and there are literally hundreds of possibilities for things to do every day without spending much, if anything. Easy living in beautiful surroundings with friendly, authentic people is the goal. |
