THERE IS NO SHAME IN THAT. That is economics 101.

It already is, to a large extent

The Villages Newcomers

Not sure if the topic by The Villages Newcomers is a legitimate concern. Appears to be an attempt to bolster their You Tube channel. I'm not sure if everyone understands how profits from a You Tube channel work. The more subscribers, likes, & total watch count generate advertising revenue for You Tube hence money in the channel owners pocket. Really don't watch their channel, topics they cover don't interest me.

Until the last election is was, pretty much owned and told what to do by the developer. Hopefully the new ones will represent the people not the developer as in the past.

What do you think all these apartments they want to build are all about. In the words of Cousin Eddie, “ It’s the gift that keeps on giving all year round”.

Three of his casinos went bankrupt..... why do you think this one wouldn't?

Totally agree. Lack of politicians is one reason I love this place, the developers have a successful business and good for them. We all benefit from their planning.

Any real estate developer will have endeavors that will not make it, as will any large corporation. I can guarantee you companies like GE, Lockheed Martin, etc. have had divisions of company that did not make it. That’s why the tax laws are written the way they are. It allows theses companies to write off losses so the can continue to invest in other ventures. This is what grows the economy and employs people. I can guarantee you the developers do no have much of their own money invested in the development of The Villages. I am sure much of it is supplied by banks or investors. What do you think would happen to The Villages if a major recession were to hit. Building would stop, hundreds of new homes would remain unsold. Businesses in the towns would close up. But in the end the developers would not loose their personal fortunes as it would be the banks and investors who would take it on the chin. It’s just the way business works.

Right on !! Everyone living here either invested for profit, worked for money, or inherited money. And whichever it was, I'd bet my bank account no one ever said "Oh, you're paying me too much, please take some back."

Warren Buffett says buy low sell high. That's also a winning strategy.

I agree 100%. They are very smart business people.

DJT has other problems. Namely SDNY and his failing businesses.
