The original owner of The Villages, Harold Schwartz, had two sons and a daughter. One son, Gary Morse, was CEO of The Villages for many years. Supposedly his brother was a”black sheep” and was bought out and given large house and a piece of land visible north of CR466 east of the Lord Lyall estate and the hotel. No info on their sister.

Gary Morse had three children, Mark who is the current CEO of TV, and his two sisters who head up Sales & Marketing and Design.

The total number of children of the three Morse siblings isn’t known, but some are active in the family business. One of Mark’s daughters is COO and active in development and construction, another is president of Citizens First Bank.

Jennifer Parr is in charge of sales and marketing. Her daughter Paige Boone heads up the polo club and is an active player. Paige Boone’s ex-husband Ryan McCabe works for her mother in sales. His father heads up hospitality for TV and also owns Cane Garden restaurant. Another sister is an actress (the lead in the long-running TV series “The Black List”). Jennifer’s husband is general counsel of TV. Jennifer Parr also has a son, although whether he is employed by TV is unknown.

Tracey Matthews heads up design for TV. Her daughter also plays a key role and is heir apparent in the design department. Tracey has two other children and four grandchildren. Whether any more of them work for TV is unknown.

Another group to be considered are the contractors who do the land development and building in TV. They are essentially the same firms as the contractors who built for Schwartz and Gary Morse, although also now in later generations.

I’m not certain whether I have all the Morses counted up, but as the generations go on they certainly won’t become fewer in numbers.
