 I'm confused again! You posters do know that the sq. ft. of your home has nothing to do with it..... right???

You need to know the square footage of your roof area. My 2/2 CYV is just under 1200 sq.ft. My roof area was/is just under 2200 sq. ft. My estimates were for 22 square of roofing. 2 years ago I paid $5000 for a new roof. The company I went with charged $225 a sq. at the time. Neighbors have had the same company do it in the past couple of months and they are paying around $6800 :ho:

The poster quoted $8500-$12000 IMHO should insist on being kissed first! But if they're happy that's what counts.

The cost for your roof should be around $320 a square. Any price much less means corners are being cut, much more means you are being gouged. A square is 10x10 area and pricing must include waste. Your roof probably qualifies for insurance replacement, most I see in The Villages do.
