Membership is $60 a year. I save more than that every trip. Also, with their credit card, I get $800 to $1000 back each year.

How very strange. A salesperson telling someone exactly what they want to hear.

If you go to the Wesley Chapel Costco you will see what bad traffic is all about.

Hogpilot, I apologize for all of the juvenile (and not funny) responses.

You can drive to one of three Costco's in Orlando in less than an hour. Load up, have lunch at a different Orlando restaurant or have a Costco hot dog. Nice half day trip. Wife and I do it once or twice a month. If you cancel your membership that just means I have one less person in front of me in line. Slams Club is a rip off and does not even start to compare with the quality or assortment of inventory at Costco. Good luck!

Been hearing this for seven years. I will believe it when it happens. TV does not fit the Costco marketing plan or demographics out lay. They want a certain number of cars in their parking lot at different hours. We are two member families. Ocala does not have the population or the median income to support a Costco nor does TV. Comparing Costco to Sam's is like comparing a Mercedes to a Kia.

I agree 100% and have been a member for close to 25 years (they were called PRICE CLUB back then by me and you had to belong to a Union or some other organizations to join - and they checked!!) then it became COSTCO but there are those who just need one or 2 items and don't want to do the trip with tolls and gas or pay the membership so a gift card may be more sensible. We do a Costco - Trader Joe's - Mall - Whole Foods then dinner trip every few weeks but I'd prefer not to drive 1+ hours.

Other than gas or tolls since we are no longer "local" to them my membership fee is covered within 2-3 months. You can often save the equivalent of your yearly fee on 1 item. Have you ever been in one? You might be surprised.

Costco as well as Tampa Premium outlets, and if you turn left on 56 (instead of right) theres Sams, and Wiregrass Mall with Dillards, Panera and other restaurants less than 2 miles. (ps best gas prices in area, Sams/Costco same price usually)
