Default Color coated driveway?

If a color coated driveway with a design in the center is worn and no longer attractive, what do you do with it? Can it be recoated in a different color? Can it just be painted with concrete color paint?

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. Looking forward to the answer to that question.

Someone in our Village just did that....had a painted driveway with a design...it was old...so he painted over it...a very blue....blue....not sure I like the color but neverless it looks like it can be done....
We actually saw him painting it....sometimes with a roller...othertimes with several friends and family helping with paint brushes....all in all it seemed to take him 2 days with help and no rain.

Smile Painted Drive?

I am assuming you mean a painted driveway? The people that did ours, have redone some that needed a pick me up..

So..I guess that is what's done..Not too sure about the center design although, I guess they just paint over it and redesign it..

I think I am a Yankee. I don't like painted driveways very much.

gg, I have lived in the midwest most of my life and never saw a painted driveway until I came to TV. I really liked the painted driveways from the first time I saw one. It was one of the first things we had done and I love it.

I agree GG....I don't really like them either....thankfully while they can do it in most of our village....back here in the CYV area no one is allowed to touch their driveways.....all must be the same.....plain old plain....and I love it!!!

We have a stained driveway...not a painted one. It's guaranteed for 10 years and if it fades it will get restained at no extra cost. It has no graphics per The Villages regulations for a Villa and is very subtle.

It looks so much better than our plain concrete and provides a very clean curb appeal.

JohnN...did you drive by and look at ours?

Thanks for the replies. One of the homes we are looking at has one that is past its prime. Sounds like it could just be painted over with gray paint.

Here in Ohio I have heard it said "Mah tars are as hot as far". And they get that hot down there in TV too, even hotter, and when they do you get ugly tire marks on the driveway. It is like scribbling on a Monet when it's painted. That's my view but I am not "coffeed up" yet this morning. I am such a "know it all". (Don't pay any attention to me.) I love to see peoples creative ideas no matter where they are painted.

I have a big mouth.

Because I'll probably have a vehicle in the driveway, I don't believe the artistry thingy is practical. Instead I plan on painting my roof. Contemplating a pic of Sadie Mae or Handiecast. Either should deter any would be break ins or alien invasion.

Default Driveway painting

YOU CAN BUY DRIVEWAY PAINTING KITS AT LOWES OR HOME DEPOT , THEY ARE A TWO PART SYSTEM THAT YOU MIX TOGETHER AND THEN YOU HAVE A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME TO COMPLETE THE JOB, ITS AN EPOXY COATING THAT IS VERY DURABLE AND LONG LASTING...........
I PUT MY SENIOR PICTURE IN THE CENTER OF MINE FOR DECORATION,,!!!!!!

DECORATIVE FUMAR
