You left the Petco parking lot which is marked right turn only and proceeded to cut left at a pretty high speed, bounced across the first concrete divider separating traffic on Rolling Acres and continued across the second divider where I was and raced into the Comcast/Starbucks parking lot. It's a good thing your German convertible has a solid suspension because it got a good workout today. So did my bowels when you nearly ran me over.

If it is the Specific German cars I think of it is going to cost them bundles of $s. Granted they are the best handling stuff out there but the suspension is actually very weak. Normal driving is high $ to keep bushings, shocks and sway bars intact. Payback will be expensive.

Bit of a gas guzzler though!

When you buy one of those German cars they have mandatory classes on how to drive that way.

My Audi was a lemon. Coolest looking, sturdy lemon. I miss it; I don't miss all the $$ we dumped into it repairing the mechanics.

Ain't THAT the truth!

Florida does a whole lot of things right but road construction and repair is decidedly NOT among those things.

German automobiles are generally known for excellent workmanship and reliability. There are some glaring exceptions, such as your Audi. A friend back in college had a Karmann Ghia sports car, which was basically a Volkswagen beetle in a slightly spiffier suit of clothes which was repair-prone in the extreme. Added to that it was decidedly NOT a winter car, having one of the most anemic cabin heaters I can remember, and in Minnesota that meant being uncomfortable probably six months out of the year. It did look good though, and in the vernacular of the time was a "chick magnet".

This reminds me of what you should do if you are being chased by a bear:

One guy said you should throw some crap in his face.

The other guy asked, "Where do I get a handful of crap?"

The first guy responds: "Oh, just reach back. It'll be there."

"Netherlands, California, Quebec, California, Texas, Turkey, Minnesota, Panama Canal, California, Illinois, Turkey, Maryland, Germany, Florida, New Mexico, The Village of Amelia and now The Village of Hacienda East."

Wow !!! That would be a different life than mine.

A friend of mine had a rather unorthodox sense of humor. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area between Minnesota and Ontario has a lot of bears, and a stunt that he pulled occasionally when camping up there (probably not too many times, for obvious reasons) was to drag a dead fish about 50 yards or so from the woods to the campsite and then bury it under his friend's tent. According to him it led to a couple of interesting nights. I never did know if I should quite believe him or not, as he was prone to exaggeration.

Probably not as dangerous as it sounds though. Black bears, unless a female with cubs, are pretty timid creatures. As dad used to say, the only part of a bear that you're apt to see in the woods are the hindquarters as it runs away from you. Banging a couple of kettles together and yelling as loud as you can would drive even the hungriest bear away from the camp.

This particular part of Rolling Acres has been a problem for years. People exiting the shopping center were Target is, and cutting across to the shopping center where Starbucks/Xfinity is located. As fast as the road crews replace the stanchions, they get mowed down.

I’ve seen at least three accidents at that particular location.

Too much to expect using a little common sense and installing a two foot wall. Then everyone except the monster trucks would have to go around. Naaaaah that would just be too logical

Maybe so, maybe no. Although I've never seen what the OP described, I've seen plenty exiting Rolling Acres Plaza (where Target/Petco is located), then use the turn lane (going against traffic) to access Rolling Acres to 441.

Now it has me thinking, could this be the very same German convertible sports car that pulled into 466 Publix a couple months ago around 6 p.m., at a VERY HIGH rate of speed, several of us coming out of Publix JUMPED as it squealed by, the guy "literally flew" into the disabled spot in front of the liquor store, did not bother to open the door, but actually JUMPED out of the driver's seat over the side of the CAR ! Looked at least 55, so must be in good shape, and RAN into the liquor store maybe "Fritz" needs his alcohol as much as his caffeine ????

Did he not realize that spot was for physically handicap people not mentally handicap?

Why were you in the center median? Where there is no crosswalk? Appears you would of been contributory to your demise
