I saw a home on my morning walk with a broken irrigation head. Snow birds. I contacted community watch and they made contact with owners. Might be worth a try.

Sometimes the “problems” reported here amaze me. Just go and adjust the spray pattern of the sprinklers. You don’t even need a tool. It’ll take about two minutes. Don’t make mountains out of mole hills.

I agree - just do it! You have no way of knowing their reaction - why open a can of worms? You might be sorry.

That will work, if they have the correct, 2-way sprinkler heads. If not, you will be spraying your house or the sidewalk, or not watering the plants properly.

sure, go ahead.

For $5 put them in and take them out if they object!

Get a bigger sprinkler head, and i mean BIGGER, aim for the house! :MOJE_whot::a040::1rotfl:

I recommend you contact Community Standards (352) 751-3912. ANY changes or improvements to the exterior of your home or yard need Community Standards approval.

I believe the neighbor would only be responsible if you advise them of the issue IN WRITING. You might also include in your letter a couple of solutions. One that I didn't see (but may have missed), is you planting something next to your house (but don't let it touch your house), to block the water. They wouldn't be able to stop that, and I think that all areas of TV allow planting next to your house, but you should verify that. At this point, I can't see a problem with just adjusting the sprinkler heads, especially if they aren't here to handle it themselves. I can't visualize how those green things would look, or work, based on the pictures.

Is the water interfearing with your ability to lounge and relax in your yard?? Is rhe water causing ANY damage?? How often do his sprinkler go on? And for how ling? Have YOU taught your neighbor how to adjust the sprinkler? It could be a miserable life waring with your neighbor.

Slaughter a live chicken under a full moon and sprinkle the blood along the shared wall. Boom no more problem

You DO NOT need any approval from the ARC to change out an irrigation head let alone adjust one or all of them !

The neighbor might object, though.......

Wow, that would be pretty neat. I never knew they made such a thing. Thanks.

Spsmith444 08-29-2020 07:01 PM

Spot on. It is really easy to adjust and or replace the head. They only cost a couple

Just do this. For the same price you could switch out the head to a 180 or 90 or simply turn it so it doesn't hit your wall. If you do it right, they won't even notice.

The water shouldn't be hitting your wall, so if it is, you don't need to wait until January to fix it. Ultimately I'd get to know them enough that issues like this would never be a problem again. "Hey Tom, you have a sprinkler that blew out and was using a ton of water, I fixed it." "Thanks Jerry!, I'll make it up to you next time we're down" "Great, You buy the steaks, I'll grill 'em" "Awesome, look forward to seeing you soon"

This is spot on. Very easy to replace/adjust head.
