Let me start by saying we are NOT extremely tech-savvy.

Living in a courtyard villa on a corner with lots of grass presents a need for surveillance cameras. We searched TOTV to see other opinions and recommendations. Wyze, Blink, Arlo, Villages Alarms - all too much to consider.

Looking for recommendations if a.) you live in a corner CYV and added cameras on the wall and b.) if you had a company install cameras that you are happy with.

Thank you

I installed Wyze cameras on the outside of my home. All I needed was two small screws and a short ladder, drill, and a screw driver. The wyze cameras are easy to install. Why would you require cameras - because you have lots of grass?

Thank you all for your responses.

I too think The Villages are very safe and do not require cameras for security. The camera system I was inquiring about is specifically for monitoring the activity of neighbors that leave "gifts" (not the "P" word) on the grass both in front of my house and along the side wall out of site of my front door. 3-5 times per week, every week for the past 5 years. 12 months a year. Not exclusive to snowbirds. Equal opportunity for both permanent residents and snowbirds.

People within this Village have recommended a camera system to identify the gift-givers and address my desire to stop receiving gifts.

I e-mailed the manager of security cameras that works in Districtgov.org asking if there were guidelines or regulations before going forward.

Thank you all again.

I knew someone who solved the problem by cutting a dry sponge into bite sized morsels and dipping them in bacon grease. Cruel to the dog, but the vet’s bill educated the irresponsible owner to take better care of the dog.

You mean like prowling cats do at night.

Someone? Friendly home town response I see.

You’re protecting your grass?
