Sumter county has the highest percentage of vaccinated people in Florida. There is no valid way to assess The Villages....other than "feel".

Most of us in Sumter County do not oppose vaccination. How is that?

I see people with thousands of posts plant threads designed to engender arguments.

I've been vaccinated, yet I oppose vaccine mandates... How's that?

Are you opposed to ALL vaccination mandates, or just COVID?

So that would be six out of a hundred.

For people over 85 the number leaps to 15%

You are less than 65 years old if I remember correctly. No need to worry.

I was wrong in saying one out of ten. That is not accurate.

Looking back, do you think you have learned anything important in the last twenty years?

So have I.
Thank you for agreeing with me... Yes, you were wrong. That was the entire point of my post. And actually, it's closer to 5% than 6%...

People under 65 have no need to worry? Interesting...

Looking back, I've learned that waaaay too many people rely on emotion to vmake life altering decisions...

Pretty much... Which is not to say I oppose vaccines... All of my children were vaccinated, including the new Guardisil once they hit HS, and the Meningitis vaccine before going off to college, after discussing the pros/cons with our pediatrician...

I just had my flu shot yesterday. I've had both types of Shingles vaccines (the original one and the 2 part Shingrex)...

Any other questions?

You absolutely 100% correct considering this is probably the 100th thread just like it. An obvious troll. Likely a current member under another name with an agenda. His/her first post after 2 years. So much of this here. Must be ratings season.

I was simply interested in clarification. Since MANY here have had all the "normal" childhood vaccinations, and got their children vaccinated when told to ignorer to get them into school, and yet, are adamantly opposed to COVID. I don't really care why, they certainly have a right to oppose COVID mandates, just wanted clarification on you position.

Thank you.

I feel like I'm being accused of something and asked to defend a position I never took in the first place.

3% is not a small number when it comes to the chance of dying. That is what I meant to say and that is what I stand by.

It's my understanding the vaccine is most effective against Covid-19, but will not protect you from getting the Delta Variant. It can only lesson the symptoms of the DV.
I know of two people locally that died from this crap within the past two weeks. I'm taking my chances with the vaccine and a KN95 mask. I don't care what "facts" people know. I do my own research and so far, so good.

Why in the world would this matter to anyone? First post or ten thousandth post? Does amount of posts give one seniority on this forum in regards to importance of posting?
