Default Covid 19 vaccine

A friend just told me he heard that a new company will be giving out the vaccine here starting in about a week. Also they will be taking over the appointments and the list of reservation from the previous co.

Anyone else here this?

To answer your question, no I haven't heard anything. The online registration yesterday for Lake County filled up literally in under a minute. Even those scheduled for the second dose through sumter county health department have been told it is dependent on receiving more of the vaccine. No good news at this point, sorry.

There was a Q & A section in TV newspaper today that indicated that GMR intends to reschedule 7,500 appointments when it gets more vaccines. As you would expect it is completely dependent on the state FDOH for allocations. They also said that in the future they will only release appointments for vaccines they actually have. Sounds like they got burned assuming they could trust the state to delivery what they were promised.

GMR also said that 65,000 people have signed up so far and that noone will lose their place in line. Appointments made for second doses will remain as scheduled until further notice.
