Public does seem to have their act together. I brought friends and family there, got both shots, no appointment. I brought one friend to a lab operating out of Walgreens. Had an appointment. Left after an hour.

I, too, received my Moderna booster at Publix at LaPlaza Grande. The wait time was about 20 minutes despite having an appointment. Fortunately, they have chairs and I’m retired. :-)

It seems strange to me that I had a reaction to the 1/2 dose booster but not to either of the first two shots. I had a low-grade fever - 99.4* for an evening, and my arm hurt at the injection site for 4 days, like a bruise. No biggie.

I got the half dose Moderna and only side effect was a little soreness where the needle went in.
I'm the OP and I was just mentioning how well run Publix was.

Getting the Pfizer booster at CVS on Wednesday. Hopefully Thursday won’t be a down day and I can get in the regular exercise routine?

Wonder if the booster will ever be approved for a 64 and under year old, non-compromised?

I agree. I like their selection of quality meats and the customer service is great. :)

why not just get the vaccine then you have better chance of not needing these treatments

As for me, my mother died of of inflammation of the heart and I have a heart condition I was born with. I have no other conditions, such as diabetes and I am quite fit. In my case, I would likely have very little problems with Covid, but the shot has been proven to cause myocarditis is some folks. I probably had Covid in May but at that time I lived in CA and worked for the state. I saw how the numbers were being inflated and refused to be tested because I didn’t want to give that state another stat to abuse the population with. I worked at home, so self quarantined, and put no one in any danger.

It already is if you're working in a field that has a high risk of exposure...

That's how I got it...

CVS on 466 told us on the phone that we do not have to be 65 years old to get the booster. I understand the pharmacy tech could have been mistaken, but my plan is getting the booster later this month at CVS Wildwood, where I got my first two shots. We'll see how it goes.

What he said. All off-topic comments are/will be deleted. This is not a vaccine debate.

Which is it, a comment on Publix or a comment on the booster. Is the booster not a vaccine? Just me being facetious...:MOJE_whot:

Same cast of characters jump on these threads with any hint of vaccines and or masks. And post their tired old positions once again.

Wife & I got our Moderna boosters from Winn-Dixie on 466 exactly 2 weeks ago. We were the only 2 people there but had to wait 45 minutes because, we were told, the pharmacist had to enter all the data in the computer. We both had 2+ days of lots more discomfort than the first 2 shots. We were basically down and out for 48hrs. Wondered if he gave us the full dose instead of the 1/2 dose it is supposed to be.
