The coyote would have run away. Coyotes are not confrontational unless they are rabid or protecting their young. I've never heard of a coyote attacking a human walking a dog. However a small dog or cat left outside in the backyard without human supervision could be considered prey for a hungry coyote. Unfortunately, the more coyotes are exposed to humans, the bolder they get. Same with gators or bears. |
