We have found small turds inside our outside gas grill on the bottom pan. I presume they are from mice or rats. Does anyone have recommendations on how to keep these critters out? (I don't want to roll the grill inside after each use).

Could very likely be anoles

Clean the grill.

Catch the critters and make an example of them for their friends. I'm thinking blackened, with a garlic paste and a little wine reduction.

Lifted my grill lid up on day found snake curled up ready to be barbecued. It’s outdoors things are going to get in.

If you happen to have mice or squirrels that could be more of a problem. I had to replace a propane line on one grill after the squirrels ate through it.

I keep the grill in our screened lanai under the roof. I grill when it rains and I don't get wet. No critters to worry about.

I do get the occasional anole in our lanai but I've never noticed any "evidence" in the grill.

I had that happen to our grill propane line in New Jersey. We had LOTS of squirrels around. I had a coiled protector that a BBQ place installed over the line. Never had a problem after that with squirrels chewing through the line.

I D dropping? Mentioned rats, mice. Could be many different animals. Rabbits for one.
Possum? A possum looks like a Chinese dragon head on a large rat body. Look before you stick your hand into anything.

I've had lizards in my grill. They move pretty fast when I light the grill up. Amazingly, to my knowledge, I've never incinerated one.

it is a good idea to clean the grill, but unless you are going to scrub every tidbit and remnant from it, I doubt it would be an effective preventative for the lizards. They don't eat much, and they don't need much attractant.
