I don't cut it in the winter. A friend said he didn't and this year I didn't and it looked ok, zoshia.

I also have a full head of hair. I just haven't gotten up the nerve or bought the clippers to buzz it all over. All summer long I have hat head or helmet head.

Maybe I should get Big Al to buzz me and than decide.

My wife and I visited the Ok. City bombing Memorial 15 yrs. ago (she was there working for 9 mos. after the bombing) and it was HOT. After a couple of days, she asked if I would like to shave the head? It was starting to get pretty thin on top so I did it; I wore a cap all the time (prior to the shaving and still do) and the head was as white as the cabinets in our home. :22yikes: The head has been sans hair ever since. Try it, you'll like it.

Thanks for the clarification.

I am surprised that the lawn care company allows you to stop for 4 months and then resume when the grass needs weekly cutting. A thread a long time ago suggested that the monthly fee was based on averaging out the cost of the summer months when the lawns are mowed weekly and the winter months when they are mowed once every two weeks. It's none of my business what you do, I am just surprised that the lawn care service allows you to.

I just tell them not to cut it in the winter. I still pay in case I decide to have it cut.If I didn't pay I don't think my monthly payments would be as low. Besides why cut dormant grass?

Notice NO women said they would cut their own hair! :a040:

We have lived in our CYV for 9yrs and I have always mowed our small back yard.

My wife cuts my hair and her own hair. Mine is just a buzz cut, she cuts hers with a

pair of scissors and 2 mirrors (I would go nuts trying to do that). Women stop her all the time and ask her where she got it cut.

Over the years we must have saved thousands

I have used a Flowbee ever since they came out about 20-25 years ago. Works great and only takes about 10 minutes. Impossible to screw anything up. I just got tired of waiting to get my hair cut.

Cutting my own hair makes quite a bit of sense. With the syles today---almost anything goes. My older son in college used to cut his friends hair and vica versa. Now that I'm older I wish the entire family would have hired someone to train us all in the art of hair cutting.

Let's face it, it's just hair. We're not learning how to be a sculpture or dentist.
