What village are you in? I'm in the Cherry Vale Villas in Tall Trees and we got ours at 8pm on Saturday. Maybe it was a problem with the printing? I'll be they got many calls about it.

Re The Sun delivery, could not be more pleased. I’d say over the past 365 days, twice I had to call for no paper. It then came within an hour or so. And if rain is expected they double bag.

We have a motion sensor camera out front, and I see the delivery anytime between 3 & 4:30am. Bless those folks….

And remember them in December!

H,mm there must be a name for this…………..maybe stealing?

I don't even read the stupid thing it goes right in the garbage or sometimes I might use it to clean some glass. Mostly garbage as I hate cleaning windows.

I would call it an illegal solicitation.

What happened with Saturday paper? Got it about 5 pm.

There were 2 routes within The Villages on Saturday that were delayed. I read, but don’t recall the reason for the delay. According to the Daily Sun an advertiser paid for the free delivery to Villagers for 6 months. After the delivery began the addressee had to respond by calling the Daily Sun # to continue to receive the paper. It is for 6 months. It is the 2nd time in 3 years that this has happened. If YOU have more questions about the delay on Saturday or the free delivery … here’s an idea … call the Daily Sun.

I got mine @ 0630, instead of the usual 0230.

I called Circulation Saturday morning. They said they had a substitute carrier. I got my paper around 7:30 pm. You can close this thread now.

But, but wait, there are Sun bashers who haven’t checked in. And what about all those others who got their paper late. :1rotfl::1rotfl:

All of Sunset Pointe was affected. Don’t know about others. Couldn’t get through to CS. I happen to like the paper. I can get caught up on trash online. Love my comics. Don’t like the Sun? Don’t subscribe.

I agree! There’s probably more valuable information in the Daily Sun than in some/many of the snarky and opinionated comments in TOV.

Whether or not you read it, they are delivering their product to you every day at their expense and you have no intention to pay for it. It may be a free subscription or a mistake on their part. It is not a solicitation. You at least owe them a phone call to give them an opportunity to correct their mistake, if it is a mistake.

I don't owe them anything, the paper is filled with advertisements so therefore it's a solicitation that I never had and never asked for.

It's not a mistake, it's intentional to get you to start reading and get hooked on it, which I don't appreciate their tactics.

It doesn’t seem like OP was a complaint. It was a legitimate question. Usually enough busy bodies on this site that someone might know answer so the question was asked. I followed this story myself because of my own curiosity and wondered if anybody knew the reason. Sunset Point papers were late too.

Please point out any thread anywhere on TOTV that is necessary.
You won't find one. Some are more helpful than others, but none are necessary. Neither are the snide remarks.
