No. There is the obvious truth. And then there are the koolaid drinkers. Does anyone really believe, had the developer done nothing wrong, he would have SETTLED for $40M payout? I mean, come on. It's becoming laughable.

I realize that you believe it is your mission in life to defend the developer at all costs. The developer(s) is a big boy(s)/girls(s) and can defend themselves.

Now can you explain just what you think this last law suit was about?

The developer strikes my fancy. I am a big believer in the American Dream and hard work. This family built this place using the kinds of practices that I trust. They kept improving as they moved along. Better cart paths, more swimming pools, nicer recreation centers etc. etc. They could have paid the fine from the IRS but they believed that the CDD issue was right.

There is NO place on this earth quite like this place that is run by an owner. It is in the black and doing fine, better than Washington is doing right now.

I never ever wanted to live in Florida and the main reason is that almost any area is spotty with beautiful homes next to a home with a car up on blocks. Not here. There is so much to look up to about The Villages and the family that built it.

I am only sorry that my dream of shaking Gary Morse's hand never came true. Maybe someday I will be able to meet Jennifer Parr or Mark Morse or the other daughter, I just went blank. I hope they are as nice as I think they are. But this place is a dream come true for older people. And I am enjoying the heck out of it.

There are people who like free enterprise being successful and I am one of them.

Yes, I get all that and I like living here also. However, people are entitled to their opinion and you jump all over anyone who doesn't drink the Koolaid. Consider that hearing the same old/same old gets tired after the nth iteration. In a public forum, people can certainly subject others to their opinion. Consider the fact that we know your opinion and you don't have to keep repeating it. Just sayin ...

Besides, It's the Daily Sun, not the NY Times. Why can't we just accept it for what it is. Biased or not, the VDS does not have a news monopoly, some are making it out to be a publication of Joseph Goebbels, Inc.

Amen. Amen. Amen. And you can repeat yourself on this topic as often as you wish. I enjoy being part of the cheering squad for this place and the family that built it.
