Default Dead dog on 42

While driving down 42 Friday AM, I noticed a dead dog on the grassy median under a tree, directly across from the golf course. Poor guy was obviously dead, probably hit by a careless driver. He looked fat and well taken care of, a lab mix (possibly) and someone's pet. I called Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital because they were only 1/4 mile from where he was. I then called the sheriff and animal control. As of this morning, he's still there and it's so sad and so gross! I don't understand why it has taken 3 days for someone to remove this dog. It's painful to see the vultures picking at him, knowing he was someone's dog.

It was blond in color and under a tree. That was the dog and as of 15 minutes ago, it's STILL there! Why don't they pick it up? It breaks my heart!
