Default Dead Flower Bed LaBelle North

UPDATE
Beautiful new flowers were planted on Thursday, but we suspect the irrigation system is at fault as the new plants are already wilted. The manager said it will be checked out

We live in Harlow Villas within LaBelle North. Unfortunately the flower beds located in the entrance to the Villas have completely died out. Residents called the appropriate offices over a week ago to relate the situation, but nothing has been done, not even to remove the few remaining dead plants and weeds. Some of us called again today, but have yet to receive definitive answers as to when the beds will be attended to. We are located off the beaten track, but these photos show how sad the entrance appears

Crews have been pulling up summer stock, and will be replaced with fall plants. Our plants were so leggie it was time. Company seems to have a system to remove, then come back to replace. It only seemed like a few weeks last year before they were done. After planting they come back with a big truck, and blow in the pine straw

We have been waiting for two trees to be replaced on our pond since June, told us they were on order back then, 4 months later, no trees.

I think that NO place I have ever lived or even ever seen is as well tended and as beautiful as The Villages. The placement of plants and the color of plants along the roadways is a balanced work of art. RARELY do plants die.

We had a dead tree or two along a wall next to Odell and it took several months (MAYBE they waited for the RIGHT time to plant) but they replaced the trees. Always power washed the wall and painted all the the stuff we could see at the Odell Center every year when we lived there. Sent crews in to WEED a couple times of year. THAT IS HARD HOT BACK BREAKING WORK. I think THEY do a great job. Thank you ladies and gentlemen.

Our pond from hurricane last year was over 10’ about the normal level. Killed four trees that just fell over from being in the water for so long. Last week came home to find new trees planted, and staked. There was a lot of damage, to trees, it may take awhile to replace all of them

The dead plants and weeds were removed today. I’m guessing new plants won’t be too far behind
