Angry Death Of Spanish Springs is right on

The post was long winded but right on. Katie Bells was put there as a Villager only bar & restaurant. Had to show your Village ID to get in. Great place for years. Even was on the potential buyers shuttle tour as a sales plus. In-Laws moved here in 1988, and after Spanish Springs built we went there many times to packed house. Also enjoyed the beautiful Silver Lake Club in the Historic side, but that also is taken away. Hacienda Club was a majestic place, but also gone. Beware Lake Sumter! Katie Belles was old man Swartz pride and joy and gift to his Villagers. Now gone!

No one cares anymore about north of 466. All the bad news comes from there.

The Esteemed Developer would bulldoze it down in a heartbeat.
What a load of crap thing to say. Apparently not all the bad comes from there. Case in point.

Plans for new apartments at the site of where Hacienda Hills restaurant used to be are coming.

I just read this in the online news;

"Neighbors of the demolished Hacienda Hills Country Club will get a first look at a planned apartment complex at the site.

The unveiling of a site plan for the apartment complex at the property off Morse Boulevard will take place between 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 in Room 102 at The Villages Sumter County Service Center at Pinellas Plaza. Villagers living within 500-feet of the Hacienda Hills Country Club site have been invited to the meeting by Sumter County Administrator Bradley Arnold."

We will see if the reality of this situation comes close to the previous discussions.
