6. Just open your mouth and start talking. TV is a friendly community. You do as much or as little as you want. Some people have been known to cut back on activities, as they get tired of a busty schedule.

Don't think of people as strangers but friends you haven't met yet!

Your last paragraph, the answer is yes!!!

What Joe said.

We also moved from the Orlando area. We loved the Villages Health, but kept all of our Orlando specialists because we could. No one will ever replace J Dean Cole of Orlando Fracture Center at Fl Hospital South. I feel we have the best of both worlds. We get to live in the Villages and do as little or as much as we want, and a short drive to Orlando and Disney. Do it.

Hi our answer is no problem do not worry about any of that. We bought here and moved into a pre owned villa, April one. Yes, we love it and you can do or not do or do and do over, so do not sweat it or anything, just come and relax. We are starting on Tutoring of young children, we bicycle a lot, we do home projects, we play pool and play in the pools.
ON settling in,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, You need to really get familiar with the area, be close in or drive a lot,,,,,,,,,,,, then decide, a house or a Villa or rent or buy. Then take your time, there are some real good buys and some real bad buys for sure.
You can deal with the Village management, the Lifestyle Program where you have a villa and cart and bikes for a week or so, you can deal with outside realtors, ReMax, Grizzard, Realty Executives or home by owner, no real estate fees etc.
Dan Foster with Grizzard is a real competent person. Honest and reliable for sure.
Good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,TAKE YOUR TIME AND HAVE FUN.

I must say that when one is on a LSV, they are busy rushing around to see a lot of things and feel somewhat stressed. I know I did.

It is a much different feeling once you have moved and know you don't have to get back to, where you came.

It's such a relaxing lifestyle that one feels there are on a permanent vacation and knowing it will never end, makes it even more relaxing. IMHO

Just remember the average move from your first house is 2.5. Even if you don't get it right the first time, there is another home available just around the corner

Come, visit, buy and enjoy the rest of your life here. We came on several lifestyle visits and loved it more each time. My husband is gone now but he enjoyed every day and I am in the best place I could be on my own. Could not have survived as well back north. This is the place to be no matter what your situation is. Come enjoy your days in The Villages. It's one of the reasons it has grown the way it has. No other retirement community has grown at this rate because of what The Villages can offer each and every one. Good or bad it's what you make of it.

There are so many activities that you as a couple can do. You need not be competitive nor do you need to be a golfer. If there is a group there are nominal fees of 5 or 10vdollars for the year. I am 63 and my husband 62 and we love it here. We are full time. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Yes you Can!!!! I belong to several theater groups, karaoke, volunteer opportunities (Hope Lutheran on Thurs from 1 - 4 offers caregivers three hours of Don't Worry, He/She's Happy time to themselves and we volunteers wish it were Thursday more often than just once a week!!!). My husband volunteers at the Community Garden that donates TONS, yes TONS of fresh veggies to nine organizations in the area. And he goes to the pool everyday possible to meet up with friends and Solve the Problems of the World! Together, we go to swim aerobics three times a week, just one of a gazillion free workout (not competitive!) programs. And then, there are the three squares each with a movie theater, an entertainment area where some of the most talented groups provide us with songs to dance to (can we say Line Dancing!!) or to just sit there and listen to. You name it, it's in the Villages, and if it isn't, someone will start it! The Daily Sun on Thursday has in insert filled with news about everything available. And, of course, there are houses of worship galore. So don't hesitate. If you can't make it here, you can't make it anywhere. :-)

Come on in.

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. No.
4. Yes.
5. Yes.
6. There are many "less than highly organized" noncompetitive activities in TV.

You might find this interesting. Here is some information of the demographics in this area.

OP, I can't put it any clearer. When you reside in The Villages you can participate in as little or as much of the various activities available here in The Villages. Really, it's up to you and your wife period. Best Regards, Jim

You can do it all or do nothing at all. I am an active friendly competitive person and have spent many a leisurely afternoon making friends at the pool. There is something for everyone here in The Villages
