The cost for the dental insurance is minimal and is easily offset by the out of pocket portion one would pay if one used just the FEP Blue.

My dentist accepts NO dental insurance. Personally, I like it that way, and I would not want to go to a dentist who does. In my opinion, dentists who accept dental insurance tend to structure their fees based on how much the insurance will pay.
The FEP Blue medical insurance pays a small amount for some dental services, but it is included with the medical insurance, and it doesn't matter whether the dentist accepts it or not. The patient can file their own claim and get paid directly.
