There are quite a few 3 car garages, even one in our courtyard villa neighborhood, you just have to look. Also you might find a corner lot where a garage could be added on, there is one of those happening in Marsh Bend currently.

As far as your question, I’ve followed a lot of your posts and you and your family seem to be making well thought out decisions. It’s not easy, I’m sure, to pack up and leave behind everything you’ve known....to go somewhere else, less known to you...lock, stock and barrel. I’m in the younger demo here, still work, have family/friends up north and still love my life there. Many, not all, choose to split time between both residences. It’s not feasible for some but it’s really the best of both worlds for others. I’ve always enjoyed summers in NH and ME on the lakes and just having that contrast is very important to me and my family. It’s an ongoing topic on this forum. A very personal decision and as long as you stay happy and healthy...whatever your decisions going forward, I for one am rooting for you LeRoy!

I think it would depend on your planned lifestyle once you move to TV. We bought a two car plus golf cart garage home. We too had multiple vehicles that we drove regularly. For our move, we sold two vehicles and came here with two. We purchased two golf carts after we moved. We are finding that having two cars and two carts is plenty. Plus keeping them in the garage saves them from the Florida sun. We find ourselves driving our carts more than our cars. Most things we need to get to are accessible by cart. I’m sure there is a Corvette club in the villages that you could join. We drive Mini Coopers and quickly found a Villages Mini Club. Good luck with your choices.

I had a buddy several years ago that swapped an LS1 into a bright yellow 85 Fiero GT. I loved that car. I had a 99 Miata with a supercharger on it, good times.

Ah, letting go of the cars will be easy. I've made that transition multiple times in my life and I hope to continue but on a much smaller scale.

We thought we'd like being snowflakes but anytime I'm at home I'm just looking forward to coming back here. Balancing 2 homes isn't what I thought it would be, I think we will go back to having a home base for most of the year and spend the ugly season somewhere else. I'd rather rent a house for a couple of months up north than the other way around (I'm looking forward to a few months in Montana, Idaho, Maine etc. during the hot months - talk about a social wasteland :laugh: that's going to make Lake Denham look like Michigan Ave).

keep in mind, if you need to go to a hospital quickly, you will need a car. Anywhere off the villages property, you will need a car. You CAN NOT cross 466, 466A, 44, 301 in a golf cart, let alone drive on them. But, you also do not need 4 cars. If you can't part with them, there are storage facilities available.

Beware of some "two car" garages in Florida. You may be able to park two cars but getting out of the car can be difficult. Many homes have a combined two car garage and golf cart garage. Plenty of room to park and get out of the car. The golf cart is optional. I don't think more than two cars in TV is needed but if you got lots of money, there are options available.

There are 2-3 Corvette Clubs in TV that you may want to check out.
You might initially keep the truck, until you get the house furnished and yard set up the way you want it. After that anything you want to move you can do in the SUV.
This is just the first of many tough decisions.
You won’t need half of all that other stuff you’re thinking about bringing.

Rented a storage garage for my sports car for the first year or two, then bought a condo on the water for vacation property and got a gargae with it, so now the sports car stays there and my main car stays in The Villages. Truth is, you can only drive one at a time anyway...

I pay over $300.00 a month for an SUV and an F-250..... both are older and not worth a lot. Four vehicles would put me in the poor house in Florida.

If you find yourself in need of cheaper rental car Turo rents for much cheaper. I had a car last year for $35 a day. It was an older model but in good shape and got us all over.

Karma did it for us. One car broke down on a trip back home; didn’t replace it and never regretted it.
