Default Disney Cruise

Thinking of taking a 4 night disney cruise with grandkids (ages 5 & 9). Look at the Dream Ship. Wonder if anyone took this. Any suggestions on do and don'ts. Would you recommend this boat versus one of the other Disney boats. Should I deal direct with disney cruise, AAA, or some specific travel agent. Thanks for any help.

You might want to post this in the travel forum.

Disney Cruises are a great way to go for Families. You may find that the kids have so much fun at the supervised Kid's Club that you have some great adult time as well. The Dream is one of their newer big ships with the tube slide, but the smaller Magic has just completed a major renovation that added an AquaSlide and new technologies. 4-day cruises stop at Nassau where you can go on excursions or just stay on the ship, but definitely get off at their Castaway Island. Disney Cruises are different than other Lines in that they do not have Casinos, you can bring your own alcohol and soda is not an extra cost. We have always gone through the Disney Cruise Line website. Have Fun!

I have been on 6 Disney Cruises and I belong to the Disney Club here in The Villages. They go every year without children and they love it. I would suggest that you google Disney Cruise Florida resident. You can all go as Florida residents even if you are the only resident in your party. I have been on all 4 ships but I have been on the Dream 3 times because of the convenience of leaving from Port Canaveral. Definitely check Florida resident for anything as we get great perks on many things here. Good luck and have a Magical cruise !!!

Our son's family recently went on this trip and grandkids enjoyed the trip very much. From The Villages, Cape Canaveral where Disney Cruise leaves is only a little over an hour's drive.

Your grandkids are the perfect age to enjoy a Disney cruise. I think the Meet 'N Greet" they do in the Atrium with all the Disney princesses is worth the price of the whole trip! Staterooms are made for families. Food is good. Service is top notch. What's not to love?! If you go, please come back and report.

We've been on 18 Disney Cruises! Love them! We cruised with them for 5 years, then I started working for them until we moved to The Villages.

the 4 night cruise is on the Disney Dream right now. I think the Fantasy is doing the 7 night cruises. Not sure if the Magic is still leaving out of Galveston.

Now that I don't work for the company, we book using All Seasons Travel & Cruise, (800) 771-8690

Your grandchildren are the perfect ages to have a super time!

you can pm me if you have specific questions......

We just took the Disney Fantasy in March with 4 generations. Leaving from the Orlando area was appealing. Everyone had a great time. We had special family time, and as others mentioned, the kids LOVED the kids club. Our kids were aged 7, 7, 6, and 5. It truly was wonderful. They all want to do it again. And to answer your question, I booked the reservations directly with Disney.

We have gone on 18 (I think!) and I agree with all of the posts. The only thing I can add is that we go thru Dreams Unlimited - they will give you additional shipboard credits and a very nice goodie bag with all sorts of useful items.

You will have a wonderful time!!
