I'm sorry I started this thread. Did any of you actually watch the episode of the Dinosaurs that I attached to the OP. Extremely funny but thought provoking. I was hoping to share a chuckle at these stressful times. If you notice I did not use the Lt Gov name in the original post and did not post it until someone confused it with the Teas Gov. I simply used the headline of the news story as a lead in for the Dinosaurs Hurling Episode.

He’s right , I’ll take my chances . We have gone to war to save our country. There will be way less deaths than that .Let’s save our country for our kids and grandkids and end this quarantine.

The majority of deaths are males over age 80. But according to the Journal of the American Medical Association, "The median age of patients is between 49 and 56 years."

That would indicate that it's mostly parents, not so much grandparents, who should be making those sacrifices, so as not to spread their sickness to anyone else.

The idea that exposing enormous numbers of Americans to a highly contagious disease will somehow help the economy is a false choice. People will get sick in huge numbers with many dying if you are willing to believe the health care professionals. Is that the moral approach which will help our economy. People staying home from work, our health care system overwhelmed.
If you don’t believe the consensus of the health care community, than I suppose I can see why you can accept this.

To the best of my knowledge, leaving one's home will NOT be mandatory. We (you) are free to stay home and, should we venture out, to follow the safety guidelines that have been suggested by the CDC and others. Let freedom ring!

No, he said Sacrifice himself for society. Doesn’t “Sacrifice “ mean give himself up. I never said sacrifice myself, he said give himself up , I didn’t say what you said I did. Sorry for the misunderstanding, but don’t change my words around!

How do you think seniors will be affected by losing 80% of their life savings and seeing pensions and Social Security checks stop? Obviously NYC, SF and Washington state need to stay shut, but it doesn’t make sense to shut a manufacturing plant in Nebraska where workers are already six feet apart.

There’s a lot of room between all and nothing.

Here here-- I agree. That's why we have welfare/food stamps/child protection etc., to protect a children, the sick, aged and members of society that do not contribute to bottom line
