It's good to have gutters. Do you NEED them? As others have said, it depends.

Each home is different and drainage of course.... Questions come to mind... Firestone on the phone.. Do I need Firestone Tires.?. BF Goodrich on the line... Should I buy BF Goodrich?

Gutter/Spout on the Line.. Should I have spouts on my home... Get the point? Now my point of view... in a few years some homeowners in The Villages will be asking themselves after
seeing the wood behind the aluminum facia "Why is the wood rotting ? Depends sometimes on your individual home. Gutters/Spouts installed you most likely will not have this issue.

Also look at two different homes "For Sale" which one looks finished out... Would The Villages install gutters and spouts only on the front if it were not for selling the home.. ever hear of Curb Side Appearance. This is not to lessen the real need for spouting. At $2.00 to 2.30 per running foot and $35.00 for down spouts.. Good for you and the home! Opinion of a builder. Me

I don't think the homes look complete without them. In our case rain water coming off the roof when winds were high blew the runoff into our lanai, now the water comes out of the down spouts and runs toward the lake away from our lanai and shrubs. That and the fact that I like the look of having them along with their low cost is why we had them installed.

Our side yard was so soggy you could not walk on it or mow for days. We added gutters problem solved

We added gutters 8 months ago and are happy we did. Back only. The front naturally had them. Very reasonably priced.
