People are often interested in more than just their own little community.

Go ahead and not be interested, that is fine. And honestly, with your attitude, people are hoping you do what you say and stop caring enough to stop complaining.

The OP's glass has been nearly empty for a long time.

I run a champ golf group that plays ALL champ courses so yeah, we care about what's south of 44. I live around Spanish Springs and can get to Shallow Creek course in just over an hour in my cart...which I take everywhere...don't mind the time or the trip. We go to Edna's for music, and will frequent any good restaurant south of 44. Would I want to live south of 44? Nope. Do I want to take advantage of the amenities there as much as the ones north of 44? Yep. End of story.

Are you tired of Don Wiley,s videos? Or those that just moved in south of 44 extolling that they now have found pardise?

Good for them..enjoy your new home and lifestyle.

But, peraonally, i dont care what is being built south of 44…many people north of 44 dont care what is being built a half hour or more drive from them.
Up north..did you care what was being built? Harldy

Enough already..no one cares anymore..TV is just becoming a sprawling suburb

I did not see any reference in any of the comments about the increased property taxes paid by residents north of 44 to support the growth of The Villages south of 44. The Developer does not pay a Fire Impact fee for new homes and commercial buildings; the costs of new firehouses and vehicles are paid by the current property taxpayers. There is a road impact fee, but it does not cover all of the cost of new roads, etc. The difference is paid by the current property owners. Do you enjoy paying for the expansion of The Villages?

Guess some people do not realize that if you think Don video is too long you can fast forward to parts you have more of an interest in.

Same here other than we play mostly executive courses but I used to travel down south from Santo Domingo to play and meet new people. Always had a blast playing with the exception of one grump bucket. I didn't care how long the ride. The Bexley bridge wasn't built then. As long as I had my tunes and coffee mug I was a happy camper.:MOJE_whot:

Seriously?

We love exploring the “new “ areas, perhaps you need to get out of your bubble and get a life! The videos give us a lot of information and are well done.
What a horrible attitude you have!

I would recommend that you go back to bed. Then get out on the other side.... yikes.

The school complex in Middleton is incredible and Eastport is going to be something really special. The party is pumpin' every night in St. Cats and Edna's is as cool of a place to chill as ever. Golf courses coming online right and left down here. I'll admit, it's a completely different culture down south vs. up north but they've both got their charms.

I’m now questioning why the OP made this post. Interesting he hasn't come back to post anything since his original posting. He had to know this thread would be controversial and would elicit mostly contrary statements. Seems like either clickbait or just blatant “trolling”.

Why go north when it’s old looking, more traffic, much slower traffic, sharing Morse with golf carts (dangerous) whereas we have just the opposite of that down here: walking/biking only trails, trails that are beautiful separating ponds and preserves, great condition golf courses, and updated home designs.
I like Sumter Landing and Brownwood, never go to Spanish Springs. I think the best looking area in all of TV is the Fenney area and that is south of me but now easy access because of the new bridge.
If you don’t like something don’t do it!

When the villages of Fenney were approved for residential there was a stipulation that 25% of the land had to remain green/nature that is what adds to the relaxing atmosphere in that area.

Simple solution. Quit watching Don’s videos. Quit reading threads with topics you’re not interested in. Venture out and try to find something you enjoy. This site just might not be for you.

The OP only posts negative, derogatory comments. Just a miserable, old fart. Probably been that way his entire life.

21 years in TV. Could not possibly care less about any of it. Over built, overpriced.

Ptmcbriz 09-03-2024 08:42 AM

Do you care about problems or issues people are having in California? How about Idaho? How about Ukraine? I do. It’s called compassion for your fellow humanity. I especially care about what is happening in The Villages. That includes ALL of TV. What good things happen south of 44 is a DIRECT reflection on TV overall. If any part of TV is unsuccessful, it will affect YOU and your property. No different as a country, or the world. We are all connected. Show a vested interest in humanity.
