When I’m home I always have one of direct TV radio stations on and I would never go without Sirius in my car , for between $80 and $100 ( depends on the deal) I can listen to anything I want

I switched from Sirius to Spotify. All the same type offerings of music genre, news, documentaries, etc. But the best part is there is a free version. The free version has commercials but far and few between.

You can create a station of any type music you like on Pandora for free. In the free version there will be occasional ads. For a monthly fee you can eliminate the ads. I think you can do the same on other sources, such as Spotify. You can then stream/listen to your music on any device and play it through your sound system when at home.

I will go you even one better! One time my husband and I and another couple were out in wine country up in Ohio for dinner. The young guy we were with looked at me and I looked at him and we both freaked! “Mr. Accordion” was playing stairway to heaven on the accordion. Talk about irony? 😂

Is just compensation paid when the many loud speakers in The Villages play WVLG radio station?

Whats a local FM station with instrumental music?

I have a free membership with Pandora, that gives a wide variety of instrumental music. Commercials are much more rare than a radio station, too. I stream on my smart tv

I worked at the front desk of a doctor's office and would use YouTube, search for the type of music you want, look for videos that are a few hours long, depending how long you want the same music on and done. Mind you, if you want to change the video playing, you will here an AD for a few seconds when the new video starts.

I gave up on radio station music a long time ago. I use Pandora, Amazon's Alexa, and Serius XM for my music. Both Pandora and Serius XM can be streamed on my phone, computers, or Amazon Echo's. For wonderful instrumentals, you simply cannot beat the "Easy Listening Radio" channel on Pandora.

Music royalties

Yes, buy a service and avoid an ASCAP fine. Now, is it fair? Not in my opinion. You don't see authors demanding payment for reading a library book. You don't see painters demanding a royalty for looking at their paintings on the Internet. I don't get it.
