It is clear that MOST people are NOT happy, whether they own dogs or don't own dogs. if you allow your dog to go on their property. So everybody please listen, care what most people think and don't make me defend all dog owners when the minority are the culprits.
To all of my friends who are responsible dog owners, I commend you and say that I am sorry that people sometimes throw the baby out with the bath water. And hurt YOUR feelers. How you would handle someone allowing their dog to poop on your property depends on how you were raised, how quickly you get angry and how you handle your anger. It should be settled immediately by your saying to the offender that you do not want them to allow their dog to come on to your property. But whether they heed your wishes depends on how they were raised and whether they are selfish or unselfish or caring and respectful of others. If I had a dog and allowed it to poop on someone's yard and they said to me that they did NOT want me to allow my dog on their property, I would be embarrassed and ashamed of my actions. Some people don't give a rat's posterior what ANYBODY thinks. As for me and my house. I love dogs although I don't have any. Here is a picture of one of my furry friends with my brand new watercolors. |
This is why I LOVE my concrete dog! He is the best!!!

I think "dogs" & "dog poop" threads have become topics like religion and politics. We've beat it to death...the same folks say the same things. The problem is not the dogs...it is the irresponsible owners. If you have these folks who live in your neighborhood...address them....don't try to injure the dog.
We all agree (and yes, I love my dog like family), dogs don't belong in certain crowded venues, no they shouldn't be on your personal property, yes we should always pick up after our dogs. But as with every other rule in life, there will be those who disagree and refuse to abide. If you see someone on your property talk to them. No need to bash all dogs and dog owners. I have picked up after my dog for almost 14 years and will do so until the day he dies (yes, even at night I carry my flashlight)...he doesn't poop in your yard. But wouldn't life be great if the biggest problem in the world was dog poop in someone's yard. |
