There's nothing like a good dog poop thread, you made my day!

We should have a dog-poop parade once a year at all 3 town squares!!!!

This caught my eye today.

I wonder if the writer of the article Judy Erksa reads TOTV?
If cats can be trained to use the toilet, why can't dogs? They're supposed to be smarter.

I have a difficult time understanding why any dog owner would need to be 'reminded' to pick up after their dog/dogs!! I think it's once again that some people feel the rules do not apply to them... Just like stop signs, blinkers and being courteous!

The other 98% of us that do it right enjoy our dogs as do the neighbors.
I love dogs but some owners do not pick up there poop and if they do they drop in the street, I saw one man at Amelia mailbox drop it in the trash box at Amelia pool. Why can't your dogs poop on your property and there would be no problem.

Or perhaps you would rather have them parade back and forth in front of your house??!?

I am still waiting for downeaster to clarify:

"There may be some who have decided that dog friendliness based on past publicity indicates The Villages and Villagers are a lot more than just dog friendly."

just what the highlighted comment is supposed to mean.

You're right, but let me take that a step further. People do not feel the rules apply to them if they don't get caught violating them.
