Looking for bargains is a very good practice. It is shared by rich and poor alike, but the rich have been at it longer.

My parents were low income, and their parents before them, and they were as good a people as anyone in the Villages. I guess I don't have a problem with low income people.

I used to buy poster board there when my son had school projects. I've bought some lately to use for paint I was considering for the walls. It gives a big sample of the color you can move around the room. Also, if you have young grandchildren, they love being told to go pick out any toy they want. also, helium balloons for special occasions, plastic shoe boxes, super glue, travel toothbrushes, etc. Believe me, that store will be packed with customers.

many here forget that unless they had that silver spoon from their family, we were all low income at some point in our lives. It's a flaw in some characters to look down with disdain on those folks who occupy the same space we used to occupy.

Low Income, High Income, I judge people by who they are, Not their Financial status , Color, Religion, Politics, the way they dress or anything else . I have meet some Rich A-Holes, and wonderful people who are poor. As for shopping I could never understand why somebody would pay $3 for something they could get for $1 at another store.

My exact feelings also. My parents were low income also but we always had clean clothes and good food (from the big garden we raised).

I think it's great that many of the privileged/entitled Villagers will choose not to shop at Dollar Tree; we won't have to put up with them there like we do on the golf courses, the restaurants, the roads, the mmp's, the grocery stores, all businesses, etc., etc., etc.

I've always liked Dollar Tree for party supplies, flower bulbs in the spring, Christmas decorations, and it's a great place to take kids who want to buy gifts with their allowance.
