Cool Doowop music

I am moving to TV soon and am interested in doowop music (vocal harmony)
popular in the fifties and early sixties. Is there a club or group in TV that meets to listen and enjoy Doowop?

I looked over the Virginia Trace Website that lists many clubs but didn't see one for DooWop

Cool larry chance

thanks for your replies. Did you see Larry Chance and the Earls when he was at the Savannah center on May 7th? I made that show and he was terrific. I've seen him before in NY, where I am from.

I guess there's not a club (you and Barry can always start one!!!)

I did attend a show within the past year at the Savannah Center put on by The Legends of Doo Wop.

Looks like they are coming back here in Jan 2010 and performing elsewhere nearby in FL quite often.

Their website/schedule:

Cool

thanks for the website, villages07. I have seen the legends of doowop on PBS but never in person. I hope to see them in Jan at the Villages. If there is no club I just may have to start one once I get there.
