Default Dr German Gaitan, DDS (Dentist)

I am going on Medicare and have selected Preferred Care Partners Insurance.
Can anyone recommend a dentist who accepts the Advantage Plan Insurance with PCP?
Dr German Gaitan Of Royal Dental at The Villages on Mulberry Lane is on the list. Can anyone recommend him or give me info about him.
Thanks

Here is what I posted a while ago in the Medical and Health Discussion forum here. Our appointments were back in January of this year.

"My husband and I went to Royal Dental recently and left very unsatisfied. We chose this office due to it being on the list of providers on our new insurance. Dr. Gaitan was out of the office so we saw his associate, Dr. Fisher (Fischer??). He was very nice and he did a quick exam. The hygienist was another story. I can't recall her name but she is an older woman, rough around the edges, and very rough in our mouths. My gums were extremely sore for a week following the cleaning. This is the first time in my life where a cleaning did not include some scaling. I am not sure if our insurance only pays for an "economy" cleaning or if she just didn't want to bother to do it. Most of the pain we experienced came from her brutal use of the saliva "vacuum" (I don't know the proper word for this tool). It was a large, plastic tube that she kept pressed tightly against our gums....OUCH! We both spoke to her several times about the fact that she was hurting us but she didn't seem to care and justified all of our complaints with defensive remarks. We will be looking for another dentist and an office where compassion and gentleness is practiced."

Default Fumar's dentist...

Ok guys...
I don't usually do this sort of thing but I'm going to make an exception in this case.....
If you want a good dentist that has a first class family practice and doesn't charge an arm and leg ....

Dr. Clifford C. Buehrer DDS in Ocala ....I've been going to him for eight years and have sent all my friends from the villages to him....He's a class guy and doesn't yell root canal when you see him.......He saved a tooth of mine that I injured on vacation that I thought couldn't be saved ..IF he says you don't need it , you don't , The girl who cleans my teeth is very thorough and she hasn't hurt me yet and Mrs fumar says I'm a big baby......The Doctor always checks me when shes done.....You can trust old fumar on this one......
PS I've never asked him if he has a dog and if he does I don't want to know !!!!

pepsodent fumar..................

Be glad to didn't have Mr. German Gaitan do anything! The only tooth he filled for me was rough on the surface and has ached for the past year and a half. I don't ever recall having a problem with a dentist before (guess there's always a first time)! I wonder if he is truly certified. Also, he was very snippy with his assistant. Nicht gut.

Default Great Dentist

Royal Dental has had there problems in the past. These problems originated with the front office. I have been a patient of Doctor Gaitan for 3 years now. He has done extensive work and in fact saved me from needing/thinking I had to have dentures. Doctor Gaitan is exceptional at what he does and is gentle, caring and most importantly is in this area to stay and stands behind his work.
His front office assistants are now courteous and professional as are all the employees at Royal Dental. If you have had or heard of a bad experience in the past due to scheduling or any other complaints I assure you that Doctor Gaitan has assembled a great staff from top to bottom at his office in The Villages near Mulberry Rec Center. If you would like to talk to me about my experiences there, please message me.
