I accidentally dropped and broke my last bottle of l'eau de toilette six years ago. So I try to shower every day to make up for it.

But I heard that in retirement you can go two to three days without bathing

It's very sad when older people can not tell how much they smell after putting on perfume. It happens all the time. What's worse is someone who doesn't take that into consideration because it's all about themselves.

And they do!

Thank you in advance for washing out the crevices in which one can hide dimes and the sweaty folds of fat.

And that is just due to the condition of their faces! In some circles they are known as alligator ladies on account of the appearance and condition of their hides from all the the time spent sunning themselves - like alligators - and with similar results.

LOL, and lots of MEN are just as bad bathing themselves with the 50 year old English Leather they have left over from high school. And the damned fumes from gas golf carts make me choke.

It's a losing battle!

Don't forget the beer breath, cigar stench, sweat and motor oil and grease smells from servicing their vehicles.

How about a couple other oldies but goodies, Hai Karate, Aqua Velva, Brut, Quorum Cologne that are still available, they store will pay you to take them, nasty stuff. How about a combo plan of one of the Colognes with a Vitalis Chaser, do not use Vitalis near an open flame.

People who overdo it just don't know that less is better. I was militant about smokers rights until I had to quit. Sometimes I get near someone who is smoking and it is heavenly other times I just move because it is killing me. I never abused with Cologne but am guilty with smoke for which I am truly sorry. I was so focused on me I didn't consider others. Live and learn can't have a mulligan on this one.

^^^^^^^

English Leather is the worst. Somehow just walking past someone causes it to transfer to you clothes. :D

Nothing smells as good as Dial soap used recently.

In almost ten years here I haven't encountered the overuse of scent often, but it is a gender equal offense.

People don't use scent like they did thirty-forty years ago.

Anyone remember Ciara?

There was a convention of southern baptist women in the city and the hotel was filled with the conventioneers. In the morning, I got on the elevator and it stopped at every floor, 29 if my memory is correct. and another lady got on and each was swimming in perfume. By the time the elevator reached the first floor, I thought I would pass out. The other was I worked for a consulting company in Cambridge Mass. and we had a client, a large New York bank and had an appointment with a senior exec. As was common then, the big wigs from Harvard and MIT Sloan school of business were actively earning side money on consulting gigs and on this trip, I was flying with the assistant dean of men from MIT's Sloan. I still remember his name. While in flight, I wondered where the hell the smell was coming from. Well this guy was a Scot and I guess he took a shower every other month whether he had to or not. I being naive about such things, I couldn't believe this. The lady we met with was most gracious and I hoped and prayed during the meeting that her nose was less than functional. I'll probably catch hell from all Scots now. Amazing what we remember.

You were lucky he was not wearing his kilt!!

I travel internationally quite often .. If you are stuck against the window and have two people that haven't bathed since last year sitting next to you, you would pray for that perfume smell .. Like everything, its all a matter of perspective

Almost every class in TV people wear way to much perfume.....even tho most instructors ask politely not to. As a pool walker there is nothing worse than perfume spoiling a beautiful peaceful walk. I have had to cut my walk short a few times because I just couldn’t’t get far enough away from it. But i’d Rather cut my walk short than have my throat close up before I can get to my epipen which I can’t take in the pool.

Whatever your problem is that requires you to carry an epipen. I assume it is not a new issue. Surely, you realize that for most people they simply do not know.

RE: getting away from people.
Frankly, I enjoy time alone. This place is far too congested for me.
IF, you find a place to be alone. DO NOT POST IT HERE for it will not be your hidden corner for long.
