Agree, but thinking logically, would it not be a stretch for "law enforcement" to sniff, sample, test, every cup (might even be a Starbucks or McD's cup, LOL) that individuals are drinking from on any given night ? IMHO, that's really unrealistic in a community where the enforcement of simple things like amenities are ONLY for residents and guests, etc. is so difficult. To add checking squares each night to see if people have a cup of lemonade, or a cup with alcohol from home, just don't think it would be possible. To me, that seems similar to trying to make sure a person does not bring a candy bar or other snack into a movie theater, but just my opinion !

So do I, it's amazing, amusing, and just plain fun, LOL ! If you really want to see amusing, check out the local on like villages newspaper. There is NO topic that is not quick changed to one presidential candidate or another....LOL... folks on there can turn a discussion of the best car wash in the area into a discussion of candidates, it's a riot to read. Guess their model of "journalism" works, I grab a morning coffee and check it out several times a week...LOL !

I wear crocs without socks. Telltale sign is the little round suntan spots on top of my feet where the sun shines through the little holes.

More than likely the only way you'll get caught is if you act like an ass in public and do something to draw attention to yourself.

I don't know, perhaps I really am the one who does not understand "enforcement". I agree many MANY "rules" are not followed and are not "enforced", but WHO do you call when push comes to shove ? Are the local police, or sheriff's deputies REALLY responsible to enforcing rules ? I am guess most of us who live here listened to all the rules and deed restriction, and so on when be first came, but never even thought to ask the most relevant question: Do you have a formal and legal organization for enforcement ? You're own legally invested police force ? or, what ? One thing I have always wondered, the "rule" about only residents and guests may use pools. If "enforcement" comes around, and orders an "offender" to vacate, what if they refuse ? Do they call the county sheriff's deputies to remove the individual(s), or if in Lake county area of villages, do they ask the local police to remove these people ? It just all seems unrealistic to me ?

Is it really BOGO? We just visited to look around and had lunch at Cody's (Sumter) they had BOGO, so I got two beers for the price of one. Got the bill and it was $7.00, I had some beers around town that were $3.50 each. So I think I just brought two beers at the same time.

A 20oz draft of a decent beer will cost at least $7 which is right in line with the regular price at the bar huts of $6 or $6.50. During happy hour at the huts, I get two 20oz beers for $6.50 - BOGO. I get two beers at Cody's and pay a similar price ($7 sounds right) so again, BOGO.

What beer did you have around town that was $3.50?

Agree. The only thing you might find for $3.50 is a Miller Lite, and even that's a good price.

Are the beers at the huts 20oz? I thought they were 16oz.

Pretty sure they are 20oz, they just fit in my 20oz Yeti.

Just run by neighborhood market on the way, 24 cans for 22 bucks. 90 cents each.

tophcfa 09-24-2024 04:52 PM

Dam, they used to have an honor bucket filled with Ice before Covid. During happy hour, when you bought a can of beer, they would open one and give it to you and throw a second unopened can in the bucket. Whenever you felt like it, you could just go to the bucket and fish out your second ice cold beer. I never returned to the honor bucket and couldn’t find my second cold one. No more honor bucket is yet another Covid casualty.

I think it was in SS at Amerikanos Grille, I could be wrong on the BOGO, Guess I have to come back and do more research.
