Default driving north from villages to 95

Hi
I have read all the different directions and came down 95 across 40 to 19 to 42.

I plan on trying 301 north thro ocala etc to 10 to 295 to 95 but someone here says that I should stay on 301 through 301 to A1A to 95.

Anyone tried this route because it does not seem to be mentionned. Do you think this might be better and avoid all the traffic on 10 and 295>

Thanks
douga

We go that way all the time. Even though 301 has speed limits you must obey, it's direct. The more northern section is only 2 lane but not busy at all, then it hits A1A, and soon goes into a 4 lane highway the last 10 minutes before I-95. Our Garmin wants us to go 301 then east on I-10 to I-295 to I- 95. A cop told us about the A1A/301 "shortcut" as he called it. Our best time was 2 1/2 hour to the Florida border but mostly it takes 2 3/4 hours.

We do this frequently but use I10 to I295. A1A is OK until you get stopped at a train crossing or behind a school bus or even a slow driver.
