They allow the safe weaving/merging of carts and cars at the gates.

I'm sure there are lots of other reasons too...
Well sure there are other reasons. We can brag to people that we are moving, or live in a gated community.

Seriously, I think it slows down traffic and I like it takes your picture.

Yes, big thing is it takes a picture of those 'visiting' the neighborhood. That helps just in case there is a problem in the neighborhood.

JG, I gotta know. Did you always say "boy howdy" or did you pick it up from "listening" to the wonderful and grand Postest with the Mostest?

Goodnight Gracie.

Goodnight Gracie.
NO...no no Don't say Goodnight Gracie. I was on here blathering when I was worrying and we just got back from oncologist and Helene's cat scan is O.K.

This is the important follow up one.

Now I will try not to post so much.

I am so happy.

Hello Gracie,
I'm so excited about Helene's results.

And don't you dare try to not post so much. Red and I will come after you with everything we've got if you even think about trying such a thing. We won't stand for it.

Love,
P

I think this thread is about photography and pushing one's buttons.

Great information Villagers. I'll be there in May to buy and this answers many questions I had regarding bonds and gates. Thanks!
Off topic: I wish they had a map of the golf cart trails, but I understand they are on a map I can buy there.

We received a golf cart trail map each time we stayed on a Lifestyle Visit. Ask your agent for one! We keep one in our cart as we are still learning our way around.

Goodnight Gracie.
Well, not knowing how to get pass the *&#$% gate, I was "fixing" to call the National Guard to get me through!! "Boy howdy", I was steaming, especially after driving 7 1/2 hours and needing to make a "pit stop"!! As far as "postest with the mostest", didn't know that was someone's favorite phrase. Don't want to infringe so I'll defer to another.

Since I'm a "registered redneck" (certificate #1027), I was about to pull a "hold my beer and watch this" and make a new path around the gate! (just kiddin' folks). Thirty-eight years in the military taught me better than that. I'm a rule follower of the grandest order!

But, thanks everyone for clarifying the gate issue. I do realize this isn't the first threat on the topic.
