Where do I file an official complaint about a neighbor's tree whose debris has caused our driveway to become stained when it lays on our concrete for too long? We recently had our drive stained professionally to keep it nice, and now it's looking worse.

Ok, assuming your not a troll why would you decorate your driveway knowing that your neighbors tree debris causes staining ? Seems like good money down the drain to me. Anyway, again assuming your not a troll the problem is yours not your neighbor. His tree debris now belongs to you. Think of it as a gift that keeps on giving. Or, I'm not saying you should do this but a cup of gasoline poured evenly across the trees drip line once a week for a month or two should take care of your problem for good.

If a neighbors tree falls in your yard, it is your responsibility, not your neighbors, to remove it so I assume the same is true for any debris.

Any branches that overhang your property line you can legally cut off/down.

It is true if the debris falls naturally. If the neighbor trims his tree and the resulting debris lands on an adjoining property it still belongs to the tree trimmer and being a diligent trimmer, he should remove it, IMHO

Unless you damage the tree enough to kill it so be careful. I doubt that would solve the problem since winds do blow debris all around and a badly trimmed tree is not very attractive even if it is your neighbors. Better to just buy a blower and clean it yourself.

I dont know why I'm surprised. My sister owns a ground floor condo. The pipes broke in the unit above hers and flooded her unit. It was my sisters responsibility according to law to fix her damage.

But seriously, I understood to begin the process of having The Villages ok the removal of a nuisance tree, it begins with someone filing a complaint - I thought it was filed to some group within the neighborhood or district. I'm asking if anyone knows this process. I live in Belvedere.
