my switch (lilac) is next to other =switches on dining room wall.
It controls the outlet above the cabinets

Thanks for all the responses. Yes, it is a Gardenia built circa 2000.
Progress to date:
Reset ALL of my GFI's even though it's unlikely to be the problem.
Tried ALL of the switches anywhere near the kitchen to no avail. There are a couple that don't seem to do anything including one near the patio doors which seems to not properly click on. I will dismantle that later.
No hidden switches in the cabinets.
No breakers off in the garage.
Wiring to the back of the outlet in question secure.
I will post the solution when (if) I find it.

The kitchen outlets are tied t a GFI outlet, Check the GFI to make sure it has not tripped

I don't use this very often and am unsure how to access private messages.

We live in a Durham built in 2021, outlet above cabinets is hot all the time. I installed above cabinet lighting controlled by a built-in remote controller.

That outlet is controlled by the rocker switch next to your canned lights switch for the canned lights over your kitchen cabinets. Hope this works or helps. Jim

Dead outlet

You said that you've reset all of the GFIs. Be sure the garage GFI is included.
