Actually quite a few. Read the report for specifics.

Seriously, it isn’t just used by people who live in CDD1. Just about anyone coming from south of 466 to Spanish Springs, the Historic Area, to shop or dine in the northern area, to take in a show at the Sharon, to play golf at Tierra Del Sol, Hacienda Hills, Orange Blossom, or one of the several Executive courses in the area uses that section of Morse Blvd. Have you ever seen the traffic in that area during the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade or the monthly cruise in at the SS town square? Get a clue!

If the MMPs had been included as they were south of 466, the residents would have paid for them by way of bond payments. So, adding them now falls on the folks (or their replacements) who live in those homes.

Hmmm. Not an unreasonable assertion.

Exactly Correct!

Yes, and after looking at population data

The Villages MSA vs. Florida | Population Trends over 1969-2021

About the year 1995 the population was under 40,000. That means additional development not necessarily in the Spanish Springs area adjusted almost another 100,000 citizens (the number may even be larger). These are people that may not even be roughly associated with Spanish Springs or CDD 1. The practical side is most won’t drive their golf cart for an hour plus from Sawgrass to locate Spanish Springs.

It’s nuts and bolts. We have what we have because we paid for it, all of it. If a district wants more, create a bond for that district to pay for it. CDD 1 is no more special than CDD 13. Pay the piper if you want something and stop looking for handouts from everyone else.

Too many have the “free” roof syndrome because insurance pays for it (Northern Villages).

This is a county road: That is a fact
The most credible (not necessarily preferred by those outside of CDD1) the county will issue a muni bond amortorized over so many years, thus the sell will be no tax payer will take a bit hit, if approved by the county

What does living south have to do with anything. If it is stated everyone pays then we all pay.

That is a shame, I drive the cart everywhere. Car is only for times we need to to leave the reservation.

Accidents happen and always will. For the amount of accidents that have occurred, it's not worth the money to change the golf cart paths and I believe it will never happen.
