People asked why do a coating ?

1. Easy and fast to keep it clean. Not much sticks to it. Broom or blow, even mop.

2. Very difficult to stain. Drop one drop of motor oil (especially used oil) on concrete floor, and you will probably be there forever.
Same with a drop of bleach, and many other chemicals. Even coffee.
(concrete is porous, liquids seep down into it and stain forever - you can't scrub it deep enough to make it disappear)

I agree. I didn't know any better when I had mine done. I have to be very careful when it gets wet.
