MD has no annual vehicle inspection requirement, other than a bi-annual Vehicle Emissions Inspection...

Not that I'm complaining...

While you're establishing residency, don't buy a winning Powerball or MegaMillions ticket, your old state will come after you for their cut.

If you are a veteran take a DD214 with you they will put it on your drivers license.

Website is not specific about how to get it all done at the same time.

I'd like to make an appointment within the week of moving into my new place if possible.

Thanks!

Are you looking to establish residency or domicile? If you are a snowbird looking to not pay income taxes in another state where you own a 2nd home, you need to establish domicile, which is a much higher bar than residency.

Correct. You can call yourself a Florida resident, but if you actually live in another state for more than 6 months per year, that state can tax you. Some states will use credit card receipts and other electronic tracking systems to make a case that you need to pay state income taxes and other taxes in their state.

You can go to the same gold dome building on Powell Road because the DMV processes are state functions, not county functions.

Is there anything that you can do there that you cannot do at 7375 Powell Road in Wildwood?

No idea. The request was 'Where to go in Lake County'. I have no idea where the requestor is in Lake County, but since they asked I am assuming they wanted to know.

You need to unregister to vote in your previous state.

Yes, you need to be out of the non-resident state for greater than 6 Months for sure; but in addition, you need to establish domicile in FL. There is a long checklist of items you need to take care of to establish domicile.
