This is really really an old thread..........but we agree with above poster.
That entire area of Chatham, including Calumet Grove and others is one of the nicest quadrants of The Villages..........I think my husband heard the train once at a distance. It was not annoying or anything like that. It did not take very long, by automobile, to get to Lake Sumter Landing or any other place in The Villages..........plus was close to the polo grounds and other things........

I hate when I have to leave.

this thread is too old.....it should be closed. If someone wants to start a new one on the same subject, fine.

TV is great except during happy hour. People will do anything to sit at the bar at the CC. Over the past 5 yrs, I've seen pushing, pulling, shoving etc. to get a seat at the bar.
TV is the friendliest home town except during happy hour.

I hate the fact that the dentists here charge twice what the do in Ohio. I am thinking of going back to have my dental work done.

Nothing. There is nothing to "hate" in The Villages.

The villages is HEAVEN ON EARTH. There is absolutely nothing to "hate".

BUT if you"hate" things where you are, you will probably find something to "hate" here too.

For some reason people take exception to the word 'hate'. Not sure why. I referenced Merriam Webster dictionary in another thread and the definition of hate is "a strong dislike for something or someone". What's wrong with that? I hate love bugs - I hate double bogies or three putts - I hate people who cut me off in roundabouts or posters who mention roundabouts (whoops I guess I hate myself) :)

Only thing I hate is the traffic jams lately. Anybody else out today and see the traffic mess going to the Strawberry Festival at the American Legion? Cars backed up on 466 for 1/2 mile. Never thought I would see that. I know it will smooth out, but for some crazy reason I was the only one in the Neighborhood Pool today. Guess everyone was on the road...
